Description

NAME| Yongqi Ya
BIRTH DATE| September 29
BIRTHPLACE| Zhuhai, CHINA
RACE| Rabbit
GENDER| Female
AGE| 18
HEIGHT| 5'2"
WEIGHT| 96 lbs.

Her name means "courage bud". Sue was the most joyful children in the little village she was raised, a few miles north from Zhuhai. Even when working in the crops, under heat, rain or snow, she was already smiling and peppily moving around like a little ballerina. Her contagious joy made her company very aprreciated over the village. Unfortunately, when she was 6 years old, her village was taken by a Chinese paramilitary army known as the Crimson Militia, forcing them to move to the city. Practically the whole village moved to the same slum in Zhuhai - even the bodies of the few men who died trying to stand for the village were brought to the slum and buried there. Sue naturally got quite shocked with the whole event, but it didn't take more than two weeks to get to her self. A couple of years later, due to the harsh conditions of her family life, she and her sister Zoe saw themselves forced to work in underemployment yet too young. Even so Sue kept her spirits up. Five years passed and her path crossed with an old wise kung-fu master, called Master Long. He, compassionate with her and her older sister's situation, offered them a chance to change their lives by becoming his kung-fu apprentices. They gladly accepted as well. Sue experienced many difficulties, specially with focusing, but she never gave up, and kept trying again and again. A few years later, she met Charles Broddard, the newest "grasshopper" in the "cloud". They soon became best of friends (for Zoe's dislike) and kept lots of time together, playing board games, video games and exchanging knowledges - Sue showing him everything about the Chinese countryside life, Charles telling her about his trips, adventures and foreign cultures he lived during his quest. She soon started calling him "brother Chuck" or "big bro", and kept trying to convince Zoe he wasn't a bad person. Currently, Sue keeps training and having fun, living a simple life and often visiting Charles and all her new friends in Hillport, as well as joining adventures with either the 'Main Four' or the 'Daring Damsels' when possible.

Sue has the most contagious of peppiness. Her presence is highly valued from anyone who knows her. And she can incredibly get along well with any kind of people - leave her among a bunch of rowdy, roughneck truckers for five minutes and see the results for yourself. The only kind she can't stand is any non-ethical kind. She can comprehend people who has a few morale weaknesses, but radically avoid people who are proudly unethical. She has no problems to express her feelings, and some people wrongly take her for a crybaby for that. As a kung-fu fighter, her biggest forte is her quickness.

Here's the younger Yongqi sister. As I said in that first pic, she and Zoe are two of my oldest characters ever. I decided to revamp both, once they looked quite different from this, and quite unsatisfying for me once my art standards changed quite a lot from back then.
